The offense and defense looks GOOD to me! Let's play ball with this team in the NFL. I honestly think we can win some games.

Shouldn't this be based on the player's NFL career? Jesse Williams hasn't played a down in the NFL, so I don't see how he can be ahead of Square.

I don't mean to be a downer but this offense isn't scoring on anybody....which means the defense will get abused. This is a 2-5 win team in the NFL at best, IMHO. Not that any other school could could put together a better roster....but this isn't a winning team. Open it up to the entire SEC now......and that might be a different story.

Defense, 4-3:

WDE: Courtney Upshaw
DT: Marcel Dareus
DT: Brandon Deaderick, Daimon Square
SDE: Wallace Gilbery, Ed Stinson
LB: Nico Johnson, Rolando McClain
LB: CJ Mosely
LB: Dont'a Hightower
SS: Mark Barron
FS: Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix, Robert Lester
CB: Dee Milliner, Javier Arenas
CB: Kareem Jackson, Dre Kirkpatrick

We'd have a tough first year but I'd coach em up into a championship caliber defense. Not with a two-deep of Bama players though, I'd have to look elsewhere for depth.

You make a good point...

To make it equal, a Bama roster team would have to play other teams where the players only came from one college team. I bet we would stand a chance of winning big in that circumstance.

Can anybody else think of another college that could field a stronger NFL team?

That's good criteria. Miami maybe, but a lot of their guys would be older. LSU has some talented players in the league, but I still think we've got them outclassed. Ohio State has some guys...but Florida and USC are the only teams I think could give us a run.

I like the OP's original OL, except I might start Andre at LT. I think LeRon McClain is back in the league and he'd be my FB.

Dre and Dee would be my starting CB with Kareem or Javy as the Nickel.

You can definitely see where we achieved a lot with less than high quality NFL talent (QB, DE, and WR). To be fair, AJ is the only decent pro prospect we have on a roster and he hasn't laced them up yet. Our staff is definitely addressing those areas with the guys we have on campus. Do this again in 3-4 years and we'll have a full crop of WRs and DL to throw out there in addition to our other spots.

The list also shows the players we are best at developing (DB and LB).

If one was made from all the state schools it could be quite competitive.
