The system is broken and the poor B1G is trapped in it.

Harbaugh isnít the issue. Heís just playing the game. The problem is the game

Don't you just love it. When a B1G HC does the over signing bit he is just (the poor thing) caught up in the system. It is the system that is at fault. BUT WHEN THE SEC does it, it is GREED and mean old coaches who don't care about the players, you know, like our HC, who grey shirts and hands out medical discharges like peppermints.

I had given Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt until I read his meritocracy comments. I get that he was not the one to extend that offer, but he needs a better reason than that to take it away so late in the game.

Don't want to have to take away an offer? Easy answer. Don't make the offer until you are sure.

Recruiting is an ugly thing, but things like this make it look worse than it is.

Oversigning doesn't exist. It's a myth. There are rules in place that prevent it.

Yep, you're basically saying "we will honor your commitment in January next year towards the next season's total" when a grayshirt offer is extended.
