IMO, the Kiffin hire is going to be very bad or very good. I don't see any in-between. If it is the former, he most definitely will not be around in 2016.

I don't see how it could be "bad" unless your "bad" means we don't win the NC under him.

With the talent we've got to work with, I think I could call plays for us and we'd still win most games.

It's about time this game happened. I would've preferred it to be a home-and-home, but I'll take it. My father was at the 1971 game in Los Angeles as a USC student. If my dad gets tickets, I'll be the Alabama fan in the USC section.

It is not his play calling I am concerned about. The saying, "He could mess up a free meal" was penned for Lane Kiffin.

In Summary - in a decade of Saban being at Bama he will have played the following teams OOC - Florida State, Clemson, Virginia Tech (2 times), Penn State (2 times), Michigan, West Virginia, Wisconsin and USC.

This kinda game is what makes college football the best sport on the planet & I'm glad to see it come to fruition..Win, lose, or draw..It only helps in recruiting as well & as if Coach Saban needed any help when it comes to recruiting..LOL

I am sure someone will post but who will the barn have played in that span OOC? Didn't they cancel FSU last year (or the year before)?

Here's what I found on a quick search:

2007: Kansas State and South Fla
2008: West Virginia
2009: West Virginia
2010: Clemson
2011: Clemson
2012: Clemson
2013: Washington St.

No, that was in 1999-2000. They DID cancel it. That was because it was going to be Bowden Bowl when the games were signed, but Terry resigned in 1998. Bobby Lowder wanted nothing to do with that - I think it cost Auburn about $3 million to duck out on those two.

Penn State dropped a series with Auburn back in 1988 because they couldn't stand the thought of two in-Alabama contests in the same year (this was about the time Auburn was getting pretty good).
