Saw this on the Roll Bama Roll site. Except for a few categories 2013 wasn't so different from preceding Saban teams.
One key difference: The 2013 team allowed two teams to score every time they were in the red zone. None of them were field goals.

Another: Ten fewer defensive takeaways.

That makes all the difference when it comes to Bama.

To date, a Saban D has yet to successfully defend the hunh. One if the main things I'll be looking for this season is to see how we've changed and adapted on that side of the ball. The hunh is here to stay at least for a while and we are only going to see more of it.

The four tenets of winning football

Stop the run
Run the ball
Win the kicking game
Be positive in turnover margin

The article only discussed run defense and turnover margin, but we weren't very sporty in the kicking game at times either.

Does a red zone TD count differently than a TD scored from beyond the red zone???

I didn't think so. Stats for talk radio. We never want the opponent to score from anywhere on the field.

You forgot the 5th tenet - score at least 1 more point than the opponent. But we forgive you.

Saban has failed to successfully defend the HUNH? You haven't watched enough Bama.
See the TAMU, barn, and OU games from last season. Yes, we've had a lot of success stopping conventional O's, like LSU's, but we have struggled somewhat against teams that run different versions of the spread.
