The team has its final two-a-days today. Also, ESPN's BusBlitz (Rece Davis and Danny Kannell) is at practice today.

SportsCenter will have some live look-ins today. Travis Reier tweeted some of what has already been shown:

Saban bringing the early love to 25 and 29 during "flex" on SportsCenter.
Shaun Dion Hamilton working with the 1s at Mike in nickel; Sims at QB and Drake at RB in hurry up on SportsCenter.

Interesting -- years ago Coach Bryant would send an entire second team out there -- across the board on offense....

Might we see a group of players that has a handful of plays that that can run a HUNH? I know it sounds off base -- but 2 or 3 drives/game in a HUNH setup with Sims running it might be a pretty impressive thing to see.

I'm sure we will see some of that this year.

Nick Saban says live on @SportsCenter Blake Sims and Jacob Coker alternating entire practices as starter
Nick Saban says Bama still a "work in progress" and he is waiting to discover if he has a QB that can utilize all the skill around him
Nick Saban says it takes time for a new guy like Jacob "Jake" Coker to establish friendships and relationships and it's coming
Saban says everyone on the team loves Blake Sims. Said he'll do anything for the team. Said Coker is still building chemistry with players.
Nick Saban on SportsCenter says the offense has better leadership than the defense at this point.
Tom Rinaldi brings Nick Saban turkey lunch. Jokingly tells a teasing Saban "settle down" live on @SportsCenter.
Saban on @SportsCenter says Blake Sims and Jacob Coker alternating w/1s this week. "Today was Blake's turn, tonight will be Jacob's turn."

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Blake more this year if he doesn't win the starting job run our offense when we want to speed things up. Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing it period and I hate 2-QB systems.

I think too many people are unfairly making too much of Sims in the spring game. I firmly believe he will be an asset to our offense this season at QB, maybe not as a starter, but I expect him to get plenty of PT in a change of pace role.

I see no reason that Blake can't take this team to another national championship this year. None whatsoever. Nick Marshal was not a big threat with his arm last year and look how far they went with that awful defense. I am confident with whoever is behind center. :)

Maybe, but besides "reports" of much he had improved, that's all anybody really has to base their opinion on. I know CNS and others have said that they didn't do the things that highlight his skills, but he didn't look good doing what tradition QB does, which is throwing the ball. He looked pretty bad making pretty routine throws. Reading between the lines, that says to me that Blake's skillset is going include a lot of running. That doesn't mean we can't be successful with him, I just think the offense is going to vastly different that what we are used to when Blake is behind center.

I heard Butch Davis on the Finebaum show yesterday. Butch Davis is recently hired by ESPN. Anyway, he was at practice and watched Coker running the offense and he said he came away very impressed with Coker. Said he made a lot of great throws and showed off a big arm. Said Coker was working with the first offense. Sims will work with first offense next practice. They alternate days with the first offense.

Sims worked with the first team during the morning practice, and Coker worked with the first team during last night's practice.

Here's the evening practice report.

There was discussion about the kickers kicking a soccer ball around during Tuesday's practice. That continued last night:

Alabama's specialists were spotted kicking around a soccer ball for a second consecutive day. This is more activity than what typically takes place during the media viewing period. It's not prudent to kick and punt a football for a full two hours.

I hadn't seen your post in this thread about Butch Davis' comments but I had posted in the Jacob Coker Breakout thread about these updates and a few more ESPN observations.
