irishenvy in complete meltdown...

Rumors there include a hunnee writing papers for some of the players, and that S_E_X was involved...

Even still, they're taking shots at the SEC...

What was that they say about pride cometh before a fall...
I can't stand the majority of the posters on Irish envy, although there are quite a few folks that I like. Now, the folks on the ND Rivals board? Totally different story. The majority of them over at IE act as if the players at ND (let's be real, the term "student-athlete" doesn't apply much in major D1 sports these days) are squeaky clean, same with the program. To these individuals, every school in the SEC, Big XII, and multiple schools in the Big X and PAC 12 break the rules, but they don't. Yeah, that makes perfect sense! Enough with the snobby attitudes, you're not squeaky clean and stop deflecting the negative attention that your program is receiving. If cheating and the violation of rules can happen with members of a team at Harvard, it can, and apparently is, happening at ND.

They won 36 games in the last 4 seasons. They currently have 874 wins. Vacating the 36 games would put them at 838, which ties us.
Interesting. Would help close the gap there. And then we could easily pass them this year.

Press conference tonight at 6.

@NDatRivals: Notre Dame confirms 6 p.m. press conference regarding potential academic misconduct.

Notre Dame releases a statement prior to the presser. Link

Note: A news conference at 6 p.m. today will be streamed live on the University’s website, news.nd.edu, and the athletics website, www.und.com.

The University of Notre Dame is investigating suspected academic dishonesty on the part of several students, including four members of the football team. Because of the potential for NCAA violations, the University notified the NCAA today, and the four football players will be held out of practice and competition until the conclusion of an ongoing investigation and the University honor code process. Any possible academic dishonesty by other students will be addressed appropriately.

“Integrity is at the heart of our mission and academic misconduct will not be tolerated at Notre Dame,” said Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., the University’s president. “If the suspected improprieties are proven, we will use the experience to reinforce among our students the importance of honesty in all that they do. We are also examining ways of better conveying to students that they can avail themselves of legitimate academic assistance without resorting to cheating.”

Evidence that students had submitted papers and homework that had been written for them by others was initially detected at the end of the summer session, and referred to the compliance office in athletics on July 29. The Office of General Counsel initiated an immediate investigation.

Speaking of "her", I found this hot photo of her. Check it out:

Pretty smokin', huh?
Seeing the photo just makes his performance against Michigan State that much more impressive. How can you just go out on the field and put *that* behind you? Like nothing happened? That's focus.

@ISDUpdate

BK: ND has brought in the right young men and must continue to do a better job providing them resources. Never a 1 sided issue

BK: As players you don't replace KeiVarae Russell. One of the best CB's at ND in some time

BK: Will have to get Cole Luke and Devin Butler up to speed

BK: Have depth at WR, but Daniels was an outstanding player
