Ten Alabama players were named to the preseason all-SEC team, voted on by the conference coaches.
There were seven first-team players: tight end O.J. Howard, offensive lineman Arie Kouandjio, receiver Amari Cooper, defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson, linebacker Trey DePriest, safety Landon Collins and Christion Jones as an all-purpose player and return specialists.
Running back T.J. Yeldon was the only second-team selection, while center Ryan Kelly and offensive tackle Austin Shepherd were third-team picks.
Cooper and safety Collins were also named to the ESPN.com Preseason All-American list. Both are the leaders of the offense and defense for the Crimson Tide.
