I don't know guys..I believe he was on the sideline when he called plays at USC.
Some coaches prefer to be "right there". Personally, I'd rather see him in the press box. Much better view. But then it would be for Kirby too...so...??

The view from the press-box is always better than on the field. Maybe he likes the proximity with all of the offensive players so he can talk to them.

I don't recall him being on the sidelines at USC. I couldn't find any pictures of Kiffin in the press box at USC so you're probably right. If I were CNS, I'd want him in the pressbox.

I don't know... They have the technology to be able to communicate with players from upstair... But then again, Kirby is on the field and he see things better and is very hand on approach with the players. It's quite possible to see Saban, Kiffin and Smart on the field during the game... Wow... Genius on the field.. He could run straight to Burns and tell him to tell RBs to adjust to the left.. Run to WRs.. and tell them to go outside or go on slant pass on next play.. no matter what play is called... Saban listens in... He might have an assistant up in the box seeing something they may missed. Make sense! how many coaches allowed on field? someone has to go up in the box, but who? Burns?

That's a tough question. Not sure who'd be up there.

As bad as I hate ut, I hope we hang about 55 on them just because CLK is with us now. That would really kill them.
Me too! I can't wait till the TN game week. It is crazy to think the last time Bama and Kiffin were playing in a game together.....he was complaining about the refs and Cody taking his helmet off.

All is forgiven Kiffin...if you can get our offense going. :)

Kiffin called plays while being the USC HC. I believe when he was co-OC with Sarkisian at USC he was upstairs. Sarkisian was the guy on the field as one his primary responsibilities was coach the QBs.
