By Jess Nicholas, TideFans.com Editor-In-Chief Aug. 28, 2014   Just about the time West Virginia head coach Dana Holgersen was being anointed as the next big thing in college coaches, the 2013 season happened. West Virginia went 4-8 in 2013, and the problems were evident right off the bat, as West Virginia struggled to […]

Glad to finally get your preview! I had predicted 26-10 in the prediction thread. Like you, I'm concerned the qb situation may keep our offense from scoring alot in this game.

If the qbs play above average though, I could see us scoring a lot more points.

"The Mountaineers were a respectable 34th in the country in passing offense last season, but just 82nd in passing offense"

That's amazing! Almost impossible :)

I to have the same concerns with the offense I just think it is going to take a few games before it all comes together. I think I picked 24-13 and thought I was going to get stoned for it.

I don't know why it just dawned on me, but new LBs calling the plays worries me a bit. I'm sure we've prepared them and Trey's injury was a bit of a blessing in disguise.

Sims/Coker, or Coker/Sims shouldn't make a lot of difference. :)

I think we could win with Morris/Bateman, if they do what they are supposed to do...
If I made our game plan I'd Run it till they came up to stop the run, then hit em with a couple of passes.

I don't see WV as having any kind of Defense that will stop us Running the ball.

I heard on ESPN radio this morning that in the 7 years Coach Saban has been head coach - Bama has covered the spread in every season opener.

Don't see how this game would be any different.

I agree the running game will dominate the Bama offense.

RTR!
