The Good- Blake Sims, TJ Yeldon, Derrick Henry, Amari Cooper and in the 2nd half our Offensive Line all played fantastic games.

The Bad- Our defense really struggled today. The LB's were slow to read and react and our DB's forgot how to look back for the ball. The defensive line had little to know penetration and subsequent disruption.

The Ugly- do we have a special teams coach? More specifically, who teaches responsibilities on Kickoffs. We seem to struggle with this year in and year out.

PS- Overall I am pleased with the team. I am sure Coach Saban will address the issues. I guess we are spoiled when we critique issues on a ten point win!

The Good: Blake Sims, Amari Cooper, Henry/Yeldon and Griffith/Scott (or should I say the 15th Field Artillery?)

The Bad: Linebackers looked lost today. Leon Brown having to get pulled due to flags was concerning too.

The Ugly: Our corners. Also Sims long ball.

The Good - Skill positions, Specialists (P/K), and the offensive gameplan

The Bad - LB play, penalties on Leon Brown, and the one botched return coverage

The Ugly - DB play, the deep ball (or lack thereof), and pass rush

The Good - Griffith, Scott, Whatever running back we send in the game, Cooper,

The Bad - Corner play, man coverage on #11 (reminded me too much of Manziel to Evans). Gotta figure out how to slow teams from exploiting that. Middle LB'ers. In general confusion on defense.

Ugly - Kick off returns for TD's, C Jones dropping the gift TD

The Good: hands down the running game, kickers and Cooper. The Bad: the confessed defense. I think when Trey gets back some of this will clear up. The Ugly: was Sylve out matched in height at corner.

Good - kicking game, offense, Bama wins
Bad - defense (whole), mainly first half
Ugly - pass coverage, was waay too soft for the most part and when it was tight it was sometimes unsuccessful.

And on the KO return for a TD: who missed the initial tackle? IIRC, runner should have been brought down, looked like a missed tackle to me. If it was, then.....add ST tackling to the bad (not ugly because LC made a great tackle).

The Good: This wasn't an SEC caliber team
The Bad: This wasn't an SEC caliber team
The Ugly: Unless the overall defensive play doesn't improve dramatically it could be a long season.

Good: offense and play calling. I wasn't a Kiffin fan when first announced, however I like what I see so far.

Bad: The defense has a lot of work ahead of it. Fortuantly, we have the couches that can mould this squad into something great.

ugly: W. virg. Coaches hair.

The good: lane kiffen looked on point with play calling and teaching on the sideline

The bad: Trickett becomes the latest qb to gash us with his arm and his legs

The ugly; White getting injured

Good- overall our OL had a good game. The backs had scent holes and Sims had time to throw the ball.

Bad- DL pressure. This continues to be a problem with our front 4 getting pressure on the QB.

Ugly- the secondary, no doubt.

Good- Yeldon and Henry! We have another great 1-2 punch. Cooper looks to be at perfect form and will hopefully have a big year. Blake had a good start at QB. Thanks to him we were able to get that field goal there before the half. Because of his feet he was able to escape getting sacked the whole game. We have a kicker and his name is Adam! Wow I am so proud of him.

Bad-defense..we need to fix it in these next two weeks. They had open guys the whole game. #3 needs to be reevaluated and need to see if a younger guy can step up.

Ugly- KO coverage ....again. Not sure why we allow so many of those run backs.

Anyone else concerned we have our # 2, 3 and 4 RBs on kickoff coverage ? Drake flew down the field and affected a couple of returns, but I worry about potential injuries and concentrated risk on that unit.

Good - team poise, play calling on offense, Simms' elusiveness (no sacks), Griffin's play, sacks by defense, Cooper's play, running backs, third down conversions, hurry up!
Bad - 23 points, missed assignments, occasional poor tackling, fickle fans, expecting too much in first game.
Ugly - is it the defense or the execution? Are the schemes outdated for the offenses now used in college football?

imho, its the execution. we had a lot of missed tackles and we were out of position on a lot of the coverage. also, we could not get off those screen blocks at all.

I beginning to think folks just don't realize just how much offenses have changed even since 2009. The years of a defense avg. less than 10 pts. per game are over. While I admit there are certainly areas to improve if you can't see the areas where there was improvement.....well....nevermind.

Getting DePriest back, and getting the young corners in will probably help. It was really Sylvie, who was a mismatch to the WR he was tapped with, that caused the issue.

I expected Tony Brown to get reps in the game.
