It is kind of early to start this, but June Jones got the ball rolling early by quitting yesterday. I'll update this post whenever we have another head coaching change.

if his teams keep playing the same I think a lot of Ohio State fans would be happy for Urban to spend more time with his family again soon

After only 2 games, Derrick Mason and Charlie Strong look to be on an extremely short leash, but both could still hang on another year. Mike Leach is 0-2 in his third year. Also think Brady Hoke might get a ticket to leave the Big House especially after ND pulled down Michigan's pants last Saturday night. Should be an interesting year for coaches trying to hold on and those trying to move up

Both face serious rebuilding chores. If either gets canned after one year, the school in question will have a hell of a time convincing anyone to take the job.

Except for Saban. Saban would take the Texas job in a heartbeat.

I disagree on Charlie Strong. He's not on short leash or anything. He's exactly what Texas needs right now.

Charlie strong has nothing to worry about unless he goes 1-11 with zero signs of improvement.

Hoke is gonna have to do a heck of a job the rest of the way after what Kelly's Irish did to the Wolverines if he wants to stay in Ann Arbor. Goodness, they got wiped off the field by a team with a lot of question marks. One of their fans suggested they replace Hoke with Jeremy Pruitt. Thought it sounded like a good risk myself. There isn't exactly a line of good coaches willing to take that job.

Warm seat:
Derek Mason - Vandy only if he looses team and they look on the edge.
Charlie Strong - Texas if he has a terrible season and doesn't kiss boosters butts.
Jim Mora - Ucla this is the year they are supposed to be top dog look like kittens right now.

Hot seat:
Brett Bielema - Arkansas has got to have some success in sec play this year even if it's 2 or 3 wins.

I'm on fire seat:
Brady Hoke- Michigan will be fired if he doesn't make bowl.
Darrell Hazel - Purdue he is gone halfway through season.
Will Muschamp - Florida has got to make a bowl game, beat FSU, or show a dramatic change in offense.

Did not say he wasn't what Texas needed right now, but IMO Texas's big monied boosters will question every loss and try to exert their influence at every opportunity.

It would not shock me if Paul Johnson get canned at the end of the year. Regardless, there will be be some good situations for Kirby and Mario to consider. Just saying.....

I'm not really sure UNC fans are happy with Larry Fedora either. They almost lost to San Jose St last weekend. Another 5-6 loss season with a loss to Duke and that could get interesting.
