COLUMBIA, S.C. | South Carolina’s Dylan Thompson flexed his muscles like Superman on the sidelines after his third first-half touchdown pass against Georgia Saturday.
The Bulldogs’ pass rushers didn’t tug on Thompson’s cape much and their defensive backs couldn’t stop the Gamecocks receivers who were wide open often.
The sixth-ranked Bulldogs still were in position to win after their offense scored three second-half touchdowns and cornerback Damian Swann picked off a Thompson pass with 5:25 to go, but the No. 24 Gamecocks held on for a 38-35 victory.
