Just a look at the drives by the Tide.

First the punting drives:
2nd quarter, WVU - 3 plays, 6 yards
4th quarter, WVU - 7 plays, 20 yards

Drives that ended due to turnover:
4th quarter, WVU - Interception (1 play)

These numbers show efficiency against 2-1/2 schools of the blind. If our offensive efficiency is this good after we play three SEC teams, I will get real excited.

I believe the point of this thread is how efficient Blake Sims has performed...regardless of the competition and he keeps getting better. That is a good sign of things to come...

The point is the efficiency by the team as a whole, and an offense performing much better by this time of the year than it has in the past.

Considering that they were learning a new system and breaking in a new starter at QB, I expected our offense to suffer and not be anywhere near where it is.

These are promising numbers. Sure, they'll take a hit against Florida, but still...

*BTW - if they are this effective against Florida, we may have one of the best offenses in the nation.

and the amount of long sustained scoring drives we have had (even against inferior competition) speaks a lot to the talents of our offense (coordinator and players).
