1. Nick Marshall and Kansas State? The Auburn quarterback was nearly a Wildcat.
2. Banged up in the win over UCF, Missouri running backs Marcus Murphy and Russell Hansbrough are both expected to be ready for Indiana while wide receiver Levi Copelin – already suspended this year – has been dismissed from team.
3. Tennessee wide receiver Josh Smith has a high ankle sprain – will not practice this week.
4. Former Tennessee and current Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten on the Vols: “Butch [Jones] has definitely got them going in the right direction.”
5. Texas A&M faces SMU this weekend before the schedule takes a tougher turn. Coach Kevin Sumlin: “We worry about us.” Wide receiver Speedy Noil will miss the SMU game with a leg injury.
