But what do you think are Amari's chances of winning the Heisman? I think really the biggest roadblock is that no pure wide receiver has ever won before. You had players like Woodson who also played defense and Howard who also returned kicks. Amari doesn't return kicks or play defense.
I think what he has going for him are the players in front of him. Everyone says that Marcus Mariota is the front runner and he is right now. But every year Oregon has one or two games where the offense looks terrible. It will eventually happen this year. Probably against Stanford or something.
And then there is Winston. First off, even on the field, he hasn't been the same player as last year. And the second is the character issue. I will say it right now. We haven't of the last off the field issue for Winston this season.
