im just so relieved we are finally fighting our enemy who is an enemy of our enemy who is friends with 1/2 or iraq, enemies with the other half of iraq, and sworn enemies of iran.... which is sort of our friend but we dont want them to be and that the weapons we destroy with our weapons will be our weapons that we previously gave to them.

<facepalm>

So we bomb the extremist militant groups in the hopes that more moderate elements will take power, but our bombing incites more extremist militant groups, so we have to bomb them in the hopes that more moderate elements will take over...

Just not a lot of good options.

Do we continue this course of action long term, do we put boots on the ground (that worked so well the last time) or do we just leave and say "Look, do whatever the hell you want, but if you so much as give an American citizen a wedgie, we're turning your country into a parking lot."

Except, or course, that "country" doesn't mean anything to some of these guys.

Again, no. good. options.

One of those rare moments where you and I agree.

I agree with Trump that we should go and take their oil and MOAB anyone who gets in the way.

A little plundering and pillaging is needed from time to time to keep the natural order of things.

On a more serious note, what happens when Assad asks Putin for help with foreign invaders (US, etal) that are flying missions in Syria's airspace and Putin/Russia willingly agree to come to the aid of their ally?

Carefully orchestrated by our Bumbler-In-Chief so as to cause as little damage as possible to ISIS.

Anyone ever wonder why the structures supposedly housing their leaders were hit at night while the 911 attacks were in the daytime when all structures (especially the Pentogon) would be fully staffed?

Anyone notice how much of our munitions are being used to hit structure, not terrorists? They live to fight another day and regroup under another nickname created by POTUS to minimize their savagery.
