They only time they finished the season ranked in the Top 25 at all was the 12-1 season. In that season, they played only two ranked teams and lost to one of them. The one they beat was ranked #24.
"Prime job" is a bit of a stretch. "Had a good season in 2007" might be more appropriate.

He was 5-7 that year. He was 13-12 those two years. So, the point stands. And, I'm also curious if the "mistreatment issues" would have come up if Kansas was 32-7 over that three year period.

The job was a decent opportunity when Turner Gill got hired, but by the time they took Weis, it was already a complete mess. So I stand by my previous opinion that it was not a prime job.
