Larry Blakeney will retire as Troy's football coach at the conclusion of the 2014 season, the school announced Sunday night.
Blakeney and athletic director John Hartwell will address the media on Monday during a press conference at at 10 a.m.. The longtime coach informed his staff and team on Sunday night after practice.

Probably a good time for him to get out. He won five straight Sun Belt titles 2006-10, but is only 16-27 since. They are 0-5 this year, including a 66-0 loss to Georgia.

He needs to retire. He did some good things there in the past, but this year Troy is a train wreck.

Yep. Did some good things but has ran that place into the ground. In addition to the 66-0 vs GA, they were beaten at home by a mediocre, at best, 1-AA school. The new coach will have to start from scratch.
