Player of the Week: Eddie Lacy had a monster game for the Packers in a win over the Vikings. Lacy rushed 13 times for 105 yds and 2 TDs. He also had 3 catches for 27 yds. Was quite the fantasy stud this week. Lacy is now the standard bearer for Alabama players in the NFL.
Notables: Julio Jones had 11 catches for 105 yards with 0 TDs for the Falcons in a loss to the Giants. Julio was the standard bearer but I think the Falcons are going to fade away due to OL injuries which will hurt his profile. Trent Richardson had 9 carries for 37 yards and 0 TDs to go with 4 catches for 10 yds in the Colts win over the Ravens. Trent is serviceable, but unfortunately he is no Lacy. Or maybe he just knew CJ Mosley and Courtney Upshaw were waiting on the other side of the line! I'm still waiting for Trent's breakout game with the Colts after two years - it may never happen though.
Stat Sheet: James Carpenter started for the Seahawks and was flagged twice- once for holding which nullified a TD and a second time for unnecessary roughness. The Seahawks still won over the Tide-less Redskins. DJ Fluker started for the Chargers and had no flags in a 31-0 shellacking of the Jets. Andre Smith started for the Bengals and had one false start in a loss against the Patriots and two-time Superbowl losing QB Tom Brady. Tinker Carson was the ST long-snapper for the Jaguars in a loss to the Steelers. The only points the Jaguars received were off FG snaps from Tinker so it wasn't his fault they lost. Chance Warmack started for the Titans and was flagged once for a false start. The Titans lost in an epic melt-down to the Browns, but that was the defense's and coaches fault - Chance held up his part of the bargain. Titans need a new QB.
No Stats: AJ McCarron - Reserve list. Mark Ingram - Out with broken hand; possible return in Week 7. Mike Johnson - Out for year with foot injury. Barrett Jones - Out for week with back injury.
