After visiting a TAMU board this afternoon to see how they handled the game -- it wasn't pretty -- I want to thank Jess and all the mods for this board. They offer it free, keep all the vulgarity and attacks out, and maintain a level of civil discussion that I rarely see anywhere in society.

I know I am getting older (63) but I really appreciate this board as a resource and also as a outlet for great discussion. My one vice is Alabama football -- not too bad at this stage in life. :)

Yes, thank you! They are in full meltdown over there.

I also like that this board is a "clean" board. Some of the ridiculous stuff I see on other boards...is not needed.

The mods swing a serious banhammer here. No nonsense is tolerated. It's the reason I frequent this forum.

Wow man, did you forget the Dubose/Fran/Shula, Logan young, probation years. A lot of experience with adversity on the board. At times there was tolerance. Heck, I was banned once. I fear when the program truly takes a dip, not just on this board , but our fan base in general. Some of our more Zealous fans have demonstrated they have difficulty handling success .

I wasn't here then!!! I have no doubt that we have fairweather fans... But, I have seen a non-tolerance of vulgarity and personal attacks on players and coaches. For that I am grateful.

The mods here are sort of an online mafia - it's nothing personal, strictly business.

I joined TideFans Jan 17th 2009 & it was the best decision I ever made as when it comes to talking with fellow Bama Fans & keeping up with recruiting..Earle, Brad, Kyallie, Mack & all other Mods on TideFans, hard work, their fairness in allowing us to voice our opinions, and their tireless efforts to keep the "Riff Raff" off our boards..Is very much appreciated & makes it hands down the best Bama web site on the net..I've made a good many friends on here that I have a lot of respect for & enjoy coming here just to talk ..And to enjoy our daily conversations..

I try to stay off the Mods bad side & post stuff I think my Bama Friends would enjoy..Cause as many of y'all know of my health problems..TideFans & all of you on here have helped to keep my mind off my problems & pass the time by, when I'm not allowed to have a lot of physical stress or pass the time by, as I'm waiting sooooo many hours at different Specialist & Doctors or Hospitals for different procedures..Y'all have become like a Family to me & I really really really appreciate TideFans & each one of y'all..

This is the only board I frequent. I don't post much, but I read daily. I appreciate the mods because I know some days can't be fun for them. I love how bashing and ignorant sparring is not allowed, and while the mods don't tolerate those things, they usually do give posters an opportunity to "play nice" before suspending or banning.

I have seen a lot of boards and most have rules about keeping it clean, languagewise. But they let things slide and if people complain, the mods tell them they don't have to read it if they don't want to and you should be adult enough to read a few curse words.T

To me, that undermines the credibility of the board, especially when mods selectively enforce rules. The mods here have no hesitation slapping down a member with tons of posts.

This is the only Bama board I have ever read and I am glad I found the right place on my first try.

Tideman09 I always enjoy your posts and your positive attitude. I'm sure most of us have no idea what you have to go through for your health. You remind us all that we love our Crimson Tide Football and this is the best site to discuss all things Alabama.
I'm praying for you brother and hope you get your health back.
