In the 3 (or more) team tie-breaker rules, there is one that is is unclear to me. I am hoping someone can explain it.

C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place)

Does this mean that in a 3 way tie, each of the 3 teams would be compared for w/l against the #4 team - then the #5, #6, #7 if necessary?

Thanks for responses.

It basically means if we win out and MSU beats Ole Miss and their only loss is to us that we win the three way tie if florida has a better record than Kentucky because of our shared cross division game with tennessee and both Magnolia teams have vandy.

He is asking about tie-breaker "C". You are explaining tie-breaker "G".

C would not apply in a 3 way tie with only 1 loss because that would by its nature mean that the only loss each of those teams have would be to 1 of the other 2 teams tied for 1st. C would only apply if there were a 3 way tie with 2 loss teams. They would look for the win/loss record of the teams against the other teams in the division.
