Wow. The 1930s were a tough decade for Sewanee.

On the other hand, Sewanee dealt some pain out of their own, if only for a while. Hadn't seen this bracket of greatest teams before. Thought I'd share it.

The recently-incurred recruiting limits and our resting of starters in the second half makes that 59-0 blowout in 2014 that much more impressive. I'm glad CNS took starters out, but can you imagine what it would have been if the horses ran full-force for the whole game??? We likely would have surpassed Georgia's 75-0 win over Florida in 1942.

I conservatively estimate we could have scored upwards of 84-0 if we'd kept at it, i.e. broken this record. But then probably many of the coaches of those games could have avoided playing their younger players as well.

I don't know why in the world they would put 2010 Auburn on there when they struggled with Miss St,Clemson and Kentucky that year. That's a head scratcher.

And different coaches, had they been in CNS' position, maybe would have tried to do just that. I prefer CNS' option though, which is to give as much play time as possible to the younger guys. It doesn't result in as many points on the board today, but it does ready them for future games, even if not this season.
