Whoever the UF coach will be he is inheriting an offensive mess. They have no top level skill guys. It will be a rebuilding process there, but as we saw with Urban Meyer it can be done rather quickly. It will take 2-3 years to undo what Muschamp has done there.

I somehow do not see Gus leaving the barn for Florida or any other SEC team. The HC at ECU deserves a look, along with Mullen. Muschamp may take a year off to observe the ever changing landscape of college football and in anticipation of a few more HC vacancies.

Lincoln Riley Could get the job in SEC.... but it'll be brutal for him. Muschamp is better off being DC under Saban, because I think he learned his lesson and humbled, kinda like Kiffin, so He needs to go back to him and refine his tools as a head coach.

Will is a good one, just that he needs to figure few things out when it comes to handling team's chemistry and ego. Mullen and Freeze.. i don't care what they say, but they can win for years, but still won't get the money to upgrade, the extra benefits that Saban has.

Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss reminds me a lot of Houston Nutt when he was at Arkansas. Like Nutt was in Fayetteville, he's a home-state boy in his self-professed "dream job" who'll take them on a roller coaster ride of expectation and disappointments, and will profess his everlasting loyalty to school right up until the wins evaporate and they run him out of town. With Nutt, it was when his rah-rah act wore out and his feud with the Springdale crew bubbled over. For Freeze, it'll likely be when his recruiting tactics get exposed and his offense falls out of favor.

I feel that if Muschamp loses his job (I know it's all but a foregone conclusion, but it hasn't happened yet), he will continue coaching in a DC role somewhere in the SEC, ACC, or Big 12. I don't think he would get back with CNS unless CKS leaves for an open coaching position elsewhere.

Mullen/Freeze - Between the two, Mullen is more likely to leave, but I still feel like both coaches will stay put. I do remember some stories floating around that Mullen wasn't all that appreciated by the UF fan base for his work, but I don't know the veracity of those stories. If Mullen leaves, it'll be for an SEC East team.

Malzhan - I feel like he'll stay at Auburn unless he is offered money that he wasn't expecting to be offered. While others believe that the administrative culture would eventually force him out, he knew about that culture while working as an OC at Auburn, and then chose to come back instead of staying at Arkansas State. Let's be honest, he's only lost three games since becoming HC at Auburn, and seems to be doing well. The Alabama-Auburn rivalry may take on a NC-affecting tone much like the Florida State-Florida rivalry during the 1990s.

I think Muschamp would fit in nice at TAMU for DC.

I feel like Les may take another serious look at Michigan this offseason.
He will be approached, but it will be very quietly. If Les decides to stay at LSU, Michigan and Les both would prefer that no one ever know that they talked.

Mullen or Freeze won't go anywhere for three years at least....they are building a solid situation.

Pinkel may find Gainesville calling.....maybe Patterson at TCU, but they do have the cash to keep him.

I am a lifelong 49ers fan, but I do not believe Harbaugh will return to college football. If he leaves the 49ers, it'll be for another NFL job. He's had enough success in San Francisco that other NFL teams like New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, etc., will be looking at him provided that he decides to leave with a year remaining on his contract.

You are right; definitely a strike while the iron is hot moment for him.
Miss. State is one of those teams that has a very good team every 20 years or so then a pretty good team the next year, then they fall back into mediocrity, sort of like Vandy, Ol Miss., Ky., South Carolina, Missouri and Georgia. Dan Mullen better have his agent talking to some teams while he can still use State as a catapult.

I agree. IMO, if it had been kept under wraps the first time, Les would be head coach at Michigan today.

Neither would leaving Stark Vegas for Florida.
Starkville is no where, no way even close to having what is at Gainesville. From the stadium and all the rest of the facilities to the recruiting aspect. Hail State doesn't hold a candle to what the Gators present. Ride through Starkville Ms., then ride through Gainesville Fl., Doesn't even come close to comparing. Did I say they are not even similar?

That's true.
Mississippi is more like South Carolina in that regards. Outside of the campus, there's nothing.
Wait. Cancel that. At least in Mississippi, there are casinos. In SC, there is nothing.
Florida is way, way beyond most SEC states. It's one long vacation paradise.
