What a day yesterday. Congrats to our team once again. I told my buddies before the game that the football gods were probably going to make us sweat it out and pay for giving us the little A&M gift earlier in the day. As i reflected this morning, i thought of this short poem. Maybe corny, but hey, I'm no Robert Frost. I hope you enjoy it.
We are Bama.
We’re loved by many.
We’re hated by most.
If you luck out and beat us, you tear down your goal posts.
You can try to run, you can try to pass.
At the end of the day we’ll still kick your ......
You’ll leave the stadium calling us “Updykes” and “Bammers”.
We’ll end the game singing a big Rammer Jammer.
You’ll call us lucky, you’ll blame the refs.
What you’ll never do, is admit we’re the best.
So yell your “War Eagle”, your “Woo Pig Sooie”, whatever your cheer.
And keep your hopes up, there’s always next year….
