Much gratitude to all vets here on Tide Fans and those elsewhere around their world for their sacrifices and duty.

I'm very very grateful for your service.

Thanks Bazza and DBF, it looks like there isn't too much hoopla about Vetereans Day on Tidefans this year. Being a vet makes me proud of all who have served. God bless them all.

Thanks for your service, Gray. It's been my observation that most vets just humbly go on about their business...never looking for any special treatment or recognition. I know we have many on this forum and am always grateful when I see their posts.

If it's not asking too much, could you please share when you did your service and in which branch? If you'd rather keep that confidential, I understand. Thank you again for your service to the country, Gray!

My experience with vets has been that they are very humble and look on their service as just something they had to do. Thanks to all who served.

I decorated the Confederate veterans' graves in the local cemetery.*
Sadly, nobody took care of the US veterans. I guess I'll have to go out and purchase 50 US flags for next year (pretty big US veterans section in the local cemetery).

According to the US Code, Confederate veterans are US veterans.

Thank you to our men and women of the military! A special thanks to my dad, 82, who served in Korea in the Army.
