Anybody else think he may well end up being considered the best punter in UA history? I`m struggling to remember one better and I`ve been watching UA football since 1958.
Absolutely on both postsHe should win an award this year!
I seem to recall Daniel Pope punting for the Chiefs. And I think PJ Fitzgerald punted in the NFL for a while. He should be an NFL punter right? If so...would that be the first Alabama punter in the NFL ever?
Chris Mohr was pretty solid for a while. He finished up at Alabama in 1988 and spent 16 years in pro football. Played in a few Super Bowls too.He should be an NFL punter right? If so...would that be the first Alabama punter in the NFL ever?
He's right up there. Chris Mohr is one I haven't seen mentioned yet. Had a great pro career as well.Anybody else think he may well end up being considered the best punter in UA history? I`m struggling to remember one better and I`ve been watching UA football since 1958.

He was named one of the 10 semifinalist earlier this week.does he even have enough punts to qualify for the award?
Boy did he have heart or what.Lane Bearden is my favorite.
Yep. You go out there and punt with a torn ACL on your plant leg & make tackles you're a full grown man.Lane Bearden is my favorite.
Greg Gantt was the best we ever had. Scott is good, very good , when he leads the sec for three years straight he'll be in Gantts league.Greg Gantt played a couple of years for the NY Jets in the mid 70s.
Led the SEC in punting three consecutive years, but is better known for one particularly rough Saturday In December of '92.
