Actually similar rumors cost the British some costly battles when their Afghan riflemen were convinced that the lubricant on their muzzle-loader cartridges was actually pig fat. (They were required to bite off the end for use...)

There are a few on here that feel the same as Ben. It's too bad because its obviously part of their religious upbringing. As soon as they have the numbers here, we'll see events like in Norway, France, UK, The Netherlands & Germany. It's already like that in Dearborn, MI.
