Its something I believe that can happen. If they beat FSU and Wisconsin beats OSU I wonder how much they would jump in rankings. There victory over Georgia was huge for them.
This. I don't think winning the ACC, even with a win over previously-undefeated FSU, means enough in the eyes of the voters to jump any of the 1-loss teams above them. I just don't think the ACC is very highly regarded in the minds of the commitee (or anybody else, really). Unless things get truly crazy on Saturday, I don't see it.i think they will beat fsu, but unless there is absolute chaos on saturday, i don't see them having a chance of getting in the playoff
this, and while i enjoyed watching tech beat them, it wasn't that impressive of a victory for gtThis. My prediction is that neither of these 4 teams will lose this week and that these will be the playoff finalists when the dust settles and the smoke clears. No, they won't get in. I do believe at least one (and maybe two) of FSU, Oregon, OSU, or Bama will lose this weekend.
Not impossible, but it would take some serious chaos in the weekend games for that to happen. We would have to also see losses from at least 2 of the following undefeated or 1-loss teams: OSU, FSU, Oregon, TCU, and Baylor.SIAP. Not sure I buy this..
