The junior went on to speak candidly about the horrific injury that ended a promising season early in Alabama's only loss of the season. First, however, he said there's no shot at returning for the playoff run. But he'll be back by spring "for sure," Drake said.
I thought it was good idea to go ahead and post this, since several people have been asking about him in the recent weeks, and hopefully this will clear it up.

Saw him walking during the pregame when the specialists were warming up. Great sight to see after such a stomach turning injury in October!

Great to hear...we need his speed for next year. So a backfield of him, Henry and Tyren Jones will be another great year. :)

I think they will hold him out of spring practice to keep him healthy, and I have bad feeling that Kiffin is already drawing up different plays... I mean Coker, Drake, Henry, Jones, Stewart, Falkins, Black... and the thing is... This will be brand new offense once again and team won't know what to expect... Scary...

He said he paid for it when it came to not wearing his boot. Could you imagine how much better the offense would be with him in it? It's already not fair and to add him? IT would be just piling on.
There is no doubt in my mind that we would not have lost to Ole Miss with Drake in the line up. He is well worth the 7 points we needed for the win. We almost won without him in the line up.

Totally agree with you. If he would have just hurt his ankle and missed the rest of the game we would have won. How he got hurt changed the team's chemistry. I wasn't even the same after that injury and I was just a fan watching it. I could imagine how the team felt. Football was less fun on that day.

i saw that too, he was limping very noticeably.
With the severity of the injury, can we really expect him to ever be what he once was? I pray that he will be.
ALSO
Anyone have any news on Treadwell from Ole Miss? Both players had similar injuries on the same field.

Scarbrough, C Sims, Ridley, and I'm sure we're still missing a few. Pretty crazy talent

Yes, But in a limited role possibly... We need a FB... so we could see Bo or Tenpenny at that position.

I'm not sure how it'll shake out at WR/RB/TE and FB Depth chart... all three starting receivers is gone this year. White, Jones, Cooper, Volger, Fowler is gone. I know folks talks about Tenpenny and how he may move on, but He could find a new role at FB given his size and his improved blocking... or Move Greene to FB? I wonder if Drake will be playing WR/RB next year? Stewart take over Drake's role.. we could see something like this: Henry/Drake and or Jones.... Bo may be good, but Jones made case to get playing time...

Bo Scarbrough could work his way into that rotation, too.
