I only did the first 25, the link has the other like 1000 assistant coaches. I wonder if Bud Foster has it in his contract to be the #1 paid Assistant coach, as he is $14k above CKS. I think most people would agree both CKS and Bud Foster could have been head coaches by now

People wonder why Kirby doesn't want to leave and when you make 1.3 and have stability like he has, why risk becoming a head coach with a ton more scrutiny and more responsibilities? I don't blame him one bit, no reason to leave unless it is a big name and a great situation. Otherwise why bother? He's making 1.3 in a state where that goes a LONNNNNNNNG way in living comfortably.

Yep, I completely understand. If you enjoy what you doing and live comfortably....why leave? More stress for a head coaching job.

And how much is CNS, CLK and CKS money worth in Alabama???? Probably not a whole lot. What mom and pop restaurant is gonna charge them to dine there? (except maybe east AL, then they get charged double), and what ALABAMA fan wouldn't LOVE to be able to buy any of those guys dinner/lunch??? Have them sign the bill, maybe a selfie? Be totally worth it

And he only has one boss and knows the expectations.

I would imagine that CLK is still receiving $$ from USCw as well. Alabama pays him $680K, & then USCw is on the hook for the rest of his old USCw paycheck. I'm betting that's how his buy-out works.

This is a good thread to discuss Kiffin. How do yall feel about his tenure? Think he stays a while or jumps at first head coaching job?

I think he stays 1 more year and then opens his mind to HC possibilities again. But he'll be far more selective then he otherwise would have. I also believe that he is genuine when he speaks in awe of everything that CNS does time-wise, how he manages it, and how, amidst all of that, still finds ways to stamp his signature on the program.

Also, where it concerns CKS and CLK.....I tell people all the time....if you worked for an electrical contractor and you were the best electrician that they had, that in no way indicates the success you would have as President/CEO/owner of the company. Night & day different jobs that require different skill sets. Not every great OC/DC will make a great HC and not every great HC was a great coordinator.

He's not going anywhere. I don't think NFL will be calling him this year... Kiffin stated that he didn't realize how much details mattered and He's truly learning a lot from Saban, and I think he's staying one more year... He needs to show the world that he can be consistent with his offense, and I think Saban will ease up and let Kiffin on his own next year... Saban do not typically let first year coaches leave the program until they meet their two year commitments...

I'm gonna say it because Coach Kiffin has absolutely surprised me this year. First I don't think CNS is on his case like a lot are saying & certainly not like you see on the sidelines, that's CNS & I have seen him do the same to Kirby.

Secondly, I really think Kiffin likes it here, I mean the whole environment it's just not like the premadonnas you see aT 10rC or USC. I bet he was shocked to hear a kid say yes/no sir& thank you.

i can see him here 5 years and loving it & Alabama & CNS will be happy to pay him. I bet his family is liking it as well, he is a big man on campus.
