Carolina coach Ron Rivera said injured quarterback Cam Newton is "on target" to play Sunday. Newton said he's pain-free and ready to play Sunday. But that doesn't mean Newton will play Sunday when the Panthers host the Cleveland Browns in game crucial to Carolina's playoff chances.
