Yes, we still have a lot of talented football players who will reside in Tuscaloosa next year. I hope the sting of this loss drives them to work hard and come back next year to try to repeat as SEC champs and take two more wins to get a national title.

We may need help at MLB depending on what Ragland does in the next month. We may also need to move some people to cover the safety position. I do believe Jackson can play better if he enters the next season healthy.

At wideout our leading receiver will have had 15 catches this season. It could be a total train wreck there depending on how these guys develope over the spring.

We need an NFL arm at QB. For a program like Alabama there is just no excuse for us not having that type of guy under center every season. Coker's got the arm but does he have the quick release needed? I don't know. If not him then who? Morris, Bateman, and Cornwell didn't make a move last spring so what are we doing to coach these guys?

I wonder if Raglands concussion (assume that's what it was last night) will influence him to go to the NFL. Hope not as he can get into beast mode at times for Bama!

Looking at your list this team could be really talented on defense. Lots of proven depth on the DL with Allen, Hand, Pettway, Reed & Robinson. If Ragland comes back you have him, Anderson, Devall, Evans as a solid base. DB has a lot of experienced guys who should improve plus the young talent of Humphrey and Brown. I see a LOT to like there.

I think Coker is a given at QB barring something really unforeseen. Plenty of talent at RB with Drake, Henry and Jones plus others. OL has a solid start with Kelly and Cam, Hill has some experience and I think Jackson. Howard at TE is a mystery, keep waiting for the light to go on for him. WR may be the biggest question though we have some really highly rated guys there plus at least some experience with Black, Sims and Stewart. I think the key will be how strong mentally Coker is as it's not an easy job and how the OL gels.

I feel a lot better after looking at your list. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.

I think Bateman will be the challenger to Coker, Bateman looked to be the most mobile of the present QB's left from last spring, Coker I know is suppose to be mobile also, Bateman the knock on him is he is a gunslinger may throw the ball up in coverage.
