Why is Nick Saban so much better at Alabama than he was at LSU?

Like what was said...it is Alabama Football.

This is a program that allowed poor, below average to average Head coaches have at least one "10" win season.

Perkins 1986 10-3
Curry 1989 10-2 SEC Co Champs
Stallings 1991 11-1, 1992 13-0 (SEC/NC), 1994 12-1, 1996 10-3
Dubose 1999 10-3 SEC Champs
Franchione 2002 10-3
Shula 2005 10-2 on the field...vacated though.

I could probably win a few games at Bama....and I have only coached Pee Wee, and flag football teams.

Good coaches win big and consistently.

That is a pretty awesome picture and concept but the truth is Coach Bryant was not the founder. He was the first CEO who resurrected it after it had faded a bit.

Don't forget Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas!!!

An elite program will always eventually rise BACK UP to the top! I don't know why. I just know that history proves it!

it even makes bad coaches good for at least one season. I think every coach with one exception has won 10 games in at least one season since 1920.
If you are thinking the one who didn't win 10 at least once is Whitworth, you are correct. It COULD be said that Price didn't win ten . . . but at least he was undefeated! :biggrin2:
