Didn't want to get into the 2015 thread with this. But here's info from yesterday's excursions. WR extended 4 offers.

Wide receiver Tre Nixon: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2187812/tre-nixon

Defensive end Pat Bethel: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3005483/patrick-bethel

North Gwinnett wide receiver Josh Imatorbhebhe: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2175630/josh-imatorbhebhe

Wide receiver Ahmmon Richards (Miami Commit): http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1693604/ahmmon-richards

In addition, Coaches Saban & Smart visited Phenix City CB John Broussard yesterday

Note how we're going heavy on the WR recruiting. Looks like we're going to evolve into a modern day NFL team. Lots of passing with a smash mouth feel...think the Patriots

Updated with info from 1/31/15 Junior Day

OLB/SS P.J. Blue was offered today. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2051899/highlights/197336376

Jamal Couch, 2016 TE Central High School in Phenix City, Ala. was offered today http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2628306/jamal-couch

2016 QB/ATH (offered as WR) Jay Jay Jones McAdory High School

2016 4* OLB Jaleel Laguins from Oconee County (GA) was offered today. He is said to have been emotionally overwhelmed by the offer. His report says he's 6-2 210lbs and runs a 4.43. Film says that that's legit http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1636042/highlights/210054402

Updated 2/3/15

2016 QB Dwayne Haskins out of Bullis HS (Maryland) was offered today by Lane Kiffin. Good looking QB.

I've noticed this most years since Coach Saban has been at Bama. A couple of times I thought the numbers of WR's signed were crazy but many of those players ended up not playing WR or not playing at all, some leaving early and some transferring out. I guess with some formations calling for 3 or 4 of these guys at once there is always a need.

Any word on offensive tackles for this class in case the 2015 class comes up light?

i think we go balanced in this class... little here and little there. I think we'll focus little more on LB and DT positions. I expect few attirition at those positions... and then we'll provide quality depth at CBs and Safety that we desperately need to do... I wonder if some of the WRs we're targeting will be converted to CBs?

i wonder if we're going to pick up RB/ TE for 2016... unless we're expecting transfer?

Willie Allen has to be even more of a priority if we don't add another OT in the 2015 class. I think we get him either way, though.

I think Ben Davis is a lock being a legacy and is a very good player. Just getting to know the '16 class and don't know enough about anybody else to comment.

I read that Calvin Ridley's younger brother, who's also a receiver, is in this cycle and I think we've offered.

Just watched this kids hudl video and he looks legit. very versatile. playing OLB and ILB in both 4-3 and 3-4 alignments and also playing ILB in a 4-1 dime package; they have him out in the slot covering receivers in the flats. He maintains leverage on the outside exceptionally well. not sure if we have a shot, but he could do a lot of things for us.

6-2, 210. 4.4 ? SS perhaps if not OLB?

depends on how he grows in the next year. running a 4.4 he could certainly play S if he has the hips, but if he keeps that speed and can add 15-20 pounds he'd be one heck of a WLB.
