or that many rushing yardsCool concept. I think that score for the 2009 vs 2011 Bama teams is way to high scoring. I don't think either of those defenses would give up that many points..
Add to the fact that the 2011 defense gave up more than 14 points one time the entire season. (to Georgia southern who ran a triple option against our defense that was hit hard with injuries and suspensions that game. and I'm pretty sure one of their td's came off a kickoff return) its hard for me to imagine any team getting 17 points on that Defense (At full strength), let alone 42 points. That thing is broken if it thinks that the Alabama 2011 defense would surrender 42 points to the 2009 team. The 2009 offense was average, at best, and was almost shut down by every great defense that it faced.
Average at best? Nope. Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson and several other NFL draft picks on that offense. #21 in scoring O while facing 5 top 25 defenses. Not the greatest O, but certainly not "average at best".That thing is broken if it thinks that the Alabama 2011 defense would surrender 42 points to the 2009 team. I think it kind of depends on which offense we are talking about in 2009. The one that scored only two offensive td's in three games (ole miss, south Carolina, Tennessee) or the one that put almost 500 yards and 32 points on a really good Florida Defense.Average at best? Individual players who were above average, but that offense as a unit was very average - very.Average at best? Nope. I've got this game going about 17-10, 2011.Cool concept. I think that score for the 2009 vs 2011 Bama teams is way to high scoring. I don't think either of those defenses would give up that many points..
And LT at running back...The 2009 team would score 42 on the 2011 team? I must have missed it when we had Tom Brady at QB.
I stopped reading when I saw that score. It told me all I needed to know about the quality of the simulations. That thing is broken if it thinks that the Alabama 2011 defense would surrender 42 points to the 2009 team.
