Ugly wins > Pretty losses.Whew! That was UGLY.
Reading comic books, snacking on Doritos, and doing a little stretching. [emoji12]I would like to watch one of our practices. I'm genuinely curious about what we work on during practice..
True, but there's another equation to consider, and Grant's got chalk in hand for writing this one down:Ugly wins > Pretty losses.
Easy now. I don't this team - without Ricky and Retin - beating anyone by 20+ points.Shouldnt' have issue against Vandy..... Should be 20 plus lead...
I don't understand Coleman's issue with 3 pointers. He clearly was good in high school. LinkBama was 5-27 (18.5%) on 3's with the three freshmen going 0-12.

MSU has got to be one of the worst teams that I have seen in awhile

Has CAG ever beaten Vandy? They always give us more than we want. We usually get outcoached badly. Stallings is a really good coach.Win is a win, but a road win with injured players not playing is better and that's what we got. All this coach stuff should be later on, right now we still have a chance to make the tourney and I'm going with that. I don't have the mindset to hope we lose so coach gets fired so that isn't even an option for me. Roll Tide! If we can cover the Vandy freshman 3 point specialist, we should win at home and move on. It's almost like we're in the tourney right now, each win from here on out, counts!
I noticed that with Calipari as well. He was always harping on "energy" and very little in the way of strategy. Are there no guys out there that are 6' 7" or taller that can box out? I mean - geez.....
Between Kessens and Taylor -- I get so frustrated. Either they have very small hands -- OR -- weak hands....
And I love Rodney Cooper -- but at times, it sure looks like he's never played before -- other times he looks like he could be in the NBA.....I am at a loss as to why.
Also, I noticed with CAG and with the MSU Coach -- they aren't talking strategy in the timeouts.....it's all generic "we need to hustle", "we need to hit the boards" etc....
Don't they always need to hustle? Shouldn't they always hit the boards? Can you not offer them something specific to work on?
"Hey, #32 is sneaking in on your right -- when you box out, make sure you focus on your right side, and pull the ball down to your left" -- or something helpful....
Not just cheerleading....
To be fair to CAG and Rick Ray, ESPN or whoever produces a game is not going to show those type of comments. They just don't.Also, I noticed with CAG and with the MSU Coach -- they aren't talking strategy in the timeouts.....it's all generic "we need to hustle", "we need to hit the boards" etc....

CAG started 0-3 against Vandy. He's won the last two meetings, though.Has CAG ever beaten Vandy? They always give us more than we want. We usually get outcoached badly. Stallings is a really good coach.
Yes, a win is a win. That's what fans say, but in the context of how we played it's more like "we didn't lose". It's a good thing we were playing MSU last night. Some fans seem to use our w-l record and "making the tourney" as some sort of benchmark, but the fact is, the product we put on the floor is sub par. We have no inside game and our blocking out, rebounding, ball handling, and shooting are all poor. "Making the tourney" won't change that... only coaches and players can. Even if we "make the tourney" with a sub par team, we still have a sub par team. I'll guarantee that if we put a better product on the floor, the wins and tournament appearances will follow.Win is a win, but a road win with injured players not playing is better and that's what we got. All this coach stuff should be later on, right now we still have a chance to make the tourney and I'm going with that.
