. By Jess Nicholas TideFans.com Editor-In-Chief March 5, 2015 The way the 2014 season ended pleased virtually no one associated with the Alabama football program, but depending on who you ask, Alabama was never supposed to be in that position anyway. Really good perspective. It seems like most of those areas we aren't really short on experience as much as talent/production. Even on the Oline we've had a couple of injuries the last couple of years that have allowed other guys to get on the field. Let's cross our fingers that that translates into maturing into good football players on the field in 2015.

another option for the MLB spot is that Ragland would move over to MLB, and we'd have someone else play the will. we've done that a lot in the past. that would allow a bigger MLB (Ragland) who is still very good dropping into coverage and then some of the smaller guys are better options at Will, or even D Lee.

Love all of your articles Jess. Regarding your opening statement:

"The way the 2014 season ended pleased virtually no one associated with the Alabama football program, but depending on who you ask, Alabama was never supposed to be in that position anyway."

...the way I look at it is, just like the Miami, Florida State and USC teams in their heyday, we truly reload every year as long as we keep recruiting at an elite level. Our Alfa Dog has this thing humming on all cylinders now and we will perennially compete for championships just the way he told us he would the day he landed in Tuscaloosa and continues to tell the recruits in living rooms across the country.
