My two cents: It will be swept under the rug as always. Moving on.
Man, that must be the world's largest rug.

And folks, while Deford's assessment of Auburn as a serial cheater is dead on right, he doesn't consider Alabama a dynasty, either (before we start praising the old bird).

IF embezzlement is proven and those responsible are identified, it will be a circus watching them roll over on the Athletic Department to keep from going to jail if they only transferred the money to a slush fund.
Doubtful.. Lowder still controls the board and if the $$ was taken to fund a slush fund for athletes he still has enough clout for the guilt parties to be fired but, not charged. Lowder, Yella Fella and a few others could make up any lost funds. AU won't file charges against their own. No Lee County prosecutor is gonna investigate them either....

If facing the NCAA, who doesn't have subpoena power, clam up, pay everybody in green cash (small bills), stonewall, and close ranks, lawyer up, and just mark time. Eventually, the press will lose interest, and it will essentially go away.

If facing an internal investigation, also lacking subpoena power, see above.

If facing anyone who does have subpoena power, throw the lowest intern under the bus, claim Snow White purity for everybody else, and say their all in belief in The Fambly led them to place too much trust in an unworthy former member, now excommunicated. Give the poor schmuck Derrick Ramsey's contact information.

Regardless of what actually happened, if anything, I'll be really surprised if anything comes of this.

Just wondering...is that casino East of Montgomery that had so many *u players frequent it a few years ago still in operation? Granted, there were probably some Bama players there from time to time. My guess is their (the Bama players) luck was not the same as those from West Georgia. I'm just curious as to how the economy has affected said establishment. My guess, again, that it has affected their funding immensely. Which could manifest itself in so many areas.

Roll Tide!

If there is a problem at the Barn, rest assured, according to the 'Tin Foil Hats' in Lee Co....
The Red Elephant Club is behind it...

Likely this is only 'Creative Financing' to buy another speedy Running Back.

No. It has been closed for several years.

Love your memory. And, the next time we win the NC, I plan to email him again on our common birthday and ask "Are we a dynasty yet?" :D

For those wondering an irregularity was found last August in the accounting of the ticket office and now tidbits of the internal investigation are beginning to slip out and many of the faithful are upset over the details they are hearing.

It has been kept under raps for the most part but some are outraged that nothing has been done about it. As of now as one person has suggested since there are no links to post or news organizations to reference it is technically a rumor by message board standards.

Much time has been taken up on Barn message boards discussing it and very credible people have weighed in on it fwiw. I heard about it from someone in the AD and just thought I would share it here for those that wished to discuss it.... or not.
