Jonathan Taylor, the former Georgia and Alabama defensive tackle, appeared in an Athens-Clarke County courtroom Tuesday morning to enter a not guilty plea in a felony domestic violence case.
Taylor, wearing a collared shirt and slacks, spent all of five minutes in court.
His defense attorney, Kim Stephens, and District Attorney Ken Mauldin could still strike a deal before the case ever comes to a trial. A status conference was set by Superior Court Judge H. Patrick Haggard for June 30.
