Obviously.
Because they were a mediocre Independent for years (it was big news in 1984 when they got up to number two I believe it was and then lost to Navy).
They were mostly terrible pre-Holtz/Spurrier.
And I know they haven't been up there then.
Btw - Kentucky SHOULD have won the 1950 national title under Coach Bryant and would have under the post-1965 rules.
