Re: Tony Nathan

I noticed in reading an article on Al.com. The author listed the graduates and their sport but didn't recognize Tony. I mentioned on another thread that I must be getting old.

Re: Tony Nathan

I noticed it and wondered if it was another, younger guy with the same name. If it is the one who is in his late 50's then I'm real proud of his for finally getting that degree.

The author edited his story. He must read this forum. There was no recognition yesterday.

Anyone who goes to get his degree later in life should be proud! Congratulations to Tony Nathan!

I attended the University with Tony., and knew him and his high school team mate, Bubba Holland, who played for Auburn. I consider this to be awesome news.
Congratulations Tony!

Tony was always a hare on the field, but I guess he was a tortoise in the classroom. Slow and steady did win the race. Way to go, Tony. I always loved number 22.

When I was a senior at the University there was a guy in a couple of my classes in Bidgood who was 62. He was a retired business owner from Toms River, NJ is all I remember.

It did say after all that he was from Miami so I assumed it was him as well. The parents who received their child's degree posthumously had me broken up but the whole coliseum gave them a very deserved applause in support.
