The NFL draft is by no means an exact science, nor is personnel evaluation at any level guaranteed. 2014 Alabama had some undoubted holes as an overall squad - deficiencies which became apparent at season's end. There were still a lot of key contributors from the 2014 SEC Champions which did not cut the Draft muster, but which were snatched up immediately upon the conclusion of the 7th round. Kind of a surprise here, since the Texans have the best DL not named "Buffalo" in the NFL. Ivory is a guy who finally lived up to his potential. He improved every year, got stronger every year, was able to generate minimal rush on occasion. But, make no mistake, if Ivory makes a roster, it will be as a space-filling, run-stuffing NT/DT.

Comment: Alabama's other receiver in this year's draft posted a 4.44-second 40-yard dash at the combine. White dealt with an array of injuries in college, most significantly a an ACL tear in 2012.

After unloading Crabtree, the 'Niners need an outside homerun threat in the worst sort of way. The speedy White, who is a lot tougher than you'd think, will get a fair shot in camp to show San Francisco what he can do.

Nick Perry is big and athletic, and was pretty solid as a senior for the Tide. I’ve found a few reports saying that he has good intangibles for the position. If either one of those two [DePriest] can stand out on ST they have a good shot to make the team as a backup.

hat's a Ravens draft/UDFA signing without some Bammers (thanks, Ozzy!) DePriest was always going to have limitations and be suited for very few squads. I like his shot though in Baltimore as standard down ILB in the Ravens' base 3-4. He's going to have to shed some pounds and get much sounder against the pass though. Nick Perry was less of a surprise, like the Steelers, the Ravens are hemorrhaging defensive players to FA signings and retirement. I honestly don't see Perry as an every-down starter, but he also has a good chance to be an utility rover in nickel and dime packages.

Vogler has a solid chance to make the squad as well, as there are opportunities to seize a backup spot behind Martellus Bennett.

Of all the names on this list, who'd have thought Vogler would be the one most likely to lock up a spot upon signing? Physical kid, soft hands, similar offense in college, also likely to be underused...Change the decals and this could say "Alabama."

Alabama quarterback Blake Sims has earned a rookie minicamp tryout with the Green Bay Packers after not being selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.

There were so many other teams for which Blake was a better fit. With the Pack's drafting of "developmental QB" Hundley, it's hard to see Sims getting looks behind center. Slot receiver or RB is almost certainly where Sims will be tested in Green Bay.

In Chance Warmack's four seasons at Alabama, the Crimson Tide posted a 49-5 record and won the BCS national championship three times. But he knows shortly before he started playing for Alabama in 2009, the Tide hadn't been that good - a 6-7 record in 2006 followed by a 7-6 showing in Nick Saban's first season as the coach at the Capstone.
