Coach Tony Sanchez has a high profile transfer to start his UNLV career. Former Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny said he was heading to the Rebels on his Instagram account. Al.com first reported Tenpenny's choice as his Instagram account is listed as private. Tenpenny won't be eligible to make an immediate impact for Sanchez, however. He's got to sit out the 2015 season and will have two years to play. Sanchez i s beginning his first season as UNLV coach after coaching at Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman High School. He left Alabama in January and would have been one of six returning players in Alabama's backfield had he stayed with the Crimson Tide (RB Tyren Jones was later dismissed from the program). Tenpenny was a former four-star recruit and the No. 53 recruit in the country according to Rivals when he was a member of the class of 2013. In two seasons with the Tide he had 218 rushing yards.. When he is eligible to play, Tenpenny could be a huge boost to UNLV's backfield. Last year, the Rebels averaged just 3.6 yards per carry as a team and the leading rusher was senior Shaquille Murray-Lawrence with 552 yards.
