Carter is the #1 Corner on our board and is the reason we are being so picky with who we take and offer at Corner. D.Brown from Georgia is backing off of UGA a little. I think we could get him and Gray. This class has some special things happening right now. It seems like Saban planned this and want to go back to evaluating prospects more before taking commits. We all know if he does that then its A) low percentage of misses & B) We don't have to tell a lot of Big Fish no at the end of the year. Allen is going to be on Campus for camp.

Gray is actually Rashan Gary who is a DT from NJ and is the #1 overall player. Allen's first name escapes me but he is a 5 star OT from New Orleans. Don't know anything about Yulee.

One of Alabama and Auburn's top quarterback prospects said when he is making his commitment known.

Jawon Pass, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound dual-threat quarterback from Carver High School in Columbus, Ga., announced he would commit on July 13.

He told 247Sports that he would have a press conference and that his finalists are Alabama, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina and Florida.

I know Crystal Ball predictions are not always accurate but Barton Simmons CB'd Jawon to Bama this morning. Simmons is very respected in the recruiting world.

Jawon has scheduled his announcement for 7/16 at 4:00 at his high school. He is supposed to visit us on 7/14-15 after returning home from The Opening. Looks like it is down to us, Louisville and the Barn.

Jawon Pass Sets Decision Date: Odds on Where 4-Star QB Commits

Jawon Pass, the top-ranked uncommitted quarterback in the 2016 class, is nearly read to declare his collegiate intentions.

The 4-star Georgia standout will announce a decision between four finalists at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 16, per Ryan Bartow of 247Sports. A commitment ceremony is scheduled at Carver High School, where Pass rose to prominence on the national recruiting radar.

Alabama, Auburn, Louisville and North Carolina are each viewed as teams still in the equation. A long list of programs including Clemson, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Mississippi State must search elsewhere for further options at the position.

Pass has been my top choice since the first time I saw film on him. Hurts has always been Kiffin's. I'm a fan. Kiffin is a coach. So there. LOL..

However, many on the staff felt the same as I did on Pass and didn't let up once Hurts committed. Taking two QBs this class is not out of the question and is, in fact, very much in play if it's the RIGHT two QBs. Expect attrition after this season (Coker graudating, at least one other QB xferring).

I have been looking for the thread where you said that June would be something special for our recruiting . . can't find it. Wonder if this June has turned out as you expected/hoped for. Better? Missed on one or two you expected? Thanks if you choose to respond.

It has surpassed my expectations as we got a couple I wasn't expecting. And a transfer that came out of nowhere.

Mario Cristobal is a darn good recruiter. He's had his hand in almost all of them

Interesting that he told TI Virginia Tech is now in his final three. He told reporters yesterday at The Opening his final three are Auburn, Alabama, and Louisville.
