Foreigner 4 was awesome - #1 on the Billboard top200 for 10 weeks and 7x platinum in the US.

This is really off-topic (for which I apologize), but I asked him why and he said Foreigner demeans and objectivizes women in their songs.Foreigner 4 was awesome - #1 on the Billboard top200 for 10 weeks and 7x platinum in the US.

LOL, yeah, only Foreigner did that...This is really off-topic (for which I apologize), but I asked him why and he said Foreigner demeans and objectivizes women in their songs.
I think the Duggars are vile and disgusting humans, knowing this was going on and merely praying and forgiving. I'm sorry, but that is not enough. Josh Duggar should have been prosecuted, not hidden and protected by money, power, influence and/or Jesus.

For curiosity, for someone who didn't post for nine years, what waked you up and brought you out of the cave...Organized religion in general has become a scam. It's about money and control. Good luck with all that.
According to a police report obtained by In Touch, the oldest son of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting told his father on three separate occasions about how he sexually molested his sisters. The Duggars waited at least 16 months before contacting authorities or getting their son or daughters professional counseling, according to the reports.
In the newly-obtained report, Duggar, now 27, told his father of at least seven acts of sexual molestation against his sisters, starting from when he was 15 years old.]
They were probably too busy working on #20so Josh confessed at least 3 times and the parents waited 16 months to report it?

That is disturbing. I would not have waited.so Josh confessed at least 3 times and the parents waited 16 months to report it?

Probably all the ones that got arrested and couldn't afford a darn good lawyer. Like OJ.How many 14year Old's are serving time for this crime?
I think he would have been charged with Sexual Misconduct, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. I don't even think Sexual Abuse 2nd would fit because it requires:I guess in Alabama this would be sexual abuse, which is a Class C felony. But most of our sexual assault laws--including sexual abuse of a child--require the offender to be 16 or older, so I'm not sure how that would go down.

Completely agree. Well said..I do hope those here adopting a rigid "by gawd I'm fer law and order" posture feel the same way when in some state that has the "age difference" law on statutory rape prosecutes a 17-year old for sex with a 13-year old girl. Don't spout the old "oh, that's what teenagers do" tripe. It's the law, right? (We ALL find laws we wouldn't prosecute ourselves).
And I also hope those of you screaming the loudest about equality have no problem when when an 18-year old gay guy is prosecuted the same as an 18-year old straight guy would be, too.
Part of me is being facetious here - it's just that everyone is rigid until they aren't. Most of you wouldn't turn in your own 14-year old boy for molesting your younger daughter and you know damn well you wouldn't. So bashing the guy for what you yourself wouldn't do (and let's be honest - he's got a lot more at stake than most of us) is hypocritical in my view. Keep in mind at no time have I defended anything the Duggars did or how they handled it. I just know that Monday morning quarterbacking on this stuff is a whole lot easier when it's not your house. It's like finding out your daughter is gay or has been raped or your son is a murderer. WE ALL know BEFORE what we THINK we would do - but none of us knows until we're confronted with it.

Crap like thisA 17 year old with a 13 year old is not right and I have no problem with a prosecution there. Why does it matter if they are gay or not in your other scenario? A crime is a crime.
And again - none of the silver tongues preaching this here would do it in the SAME SITUATION and you're deluding yourselves if you think you would. All of us know what we'd do beforehand and all of us protect our families - if that mandates trying to sweep something aside so be it. This is simply reality.Turing in your child for molesting other children is what is needed. He needed to get proper help and not go to one of their religious centers that just made him do hard labor. It was more of just getting him out of the house..rather than getting him the help he needed.
I've never said it was okay. Quit erecting straw men to avoid the fact that the same people here screaming of what they SHOULD have done would not have contacted the cops (even one with a child porn habit).I don't necessarily think jail time was really needed, but he needed counseling by a licensed professional that deals with these kind of things.
What message does this send to victims of similar situations? It is ok because he was 14? You would tell your daughters that?
Just so we're clear - I actually AGREE with you:A 17 year old with a 13 year old is not right and I have no problem with a prosecution there. Why does it matter if they are gay or not in your other scenario? A crime is a crime.
