On the plus side, with an extra official in the backfield, maybe they'll start calling holding on Auburn and A&M.

I don't like the fact that they're not using the extra body to watch for ineligible receivers downfield. This guy isn't even going to lighten the existing load on the line, side, and back judges so they can do it. It's just an extra set of eyes on the QB, when there are other areas that need more attention.

yeah. this does nothing to address the problem. changing the distance down field a lineman is allowed to be to 1 yard made so much sense, this really doesnt do anything to fix the officiating issues caused by teams like auburn
