The Carolina Panthers and quarterback Cam Newton are on the verge of agreeing on a contract that could keep the former Auburn star with the NFL team through the 2020 season. NFL.com, ESPN and the Charlotte Observer reported on Monday morning that the contract announcement could come at any time.
