Report: Levi Randolph accepts invite to Celtics camp

Former Alabama standout and team captain Levi Randolph has reportedly accepted an invitation to join the Boston Celtic' training camp to try and earn a spot on an NBA roster for the upcoming season, according to Sportnado. Randolph elected to turn down an offer from Italy's Vuelle Pesaro in an effort to try to land a contract with the Celtics.

If Randolph does not make Boston's roster, he will, at worst, be a part of the organization's NBA Development League team.

Randolph did not have a memorable run with the Utah Jazz's summer league team in Las Vegas, but he did see some success in the Orlando Summer League with the Oklahoma City Thunder and former head coach Anthony Grant, who is now an assistant under former Florida head coach Billy Donovan with the Thunder. Randolph averaged 8.4 points and 31.2 minutes per game in five games with Oklahoma City.
