It didn’t take long for Richard Mullaney to pick his new school. Just three days after the 6-foot-3, 209-pound wideout announced his decision to leave Oregon State , Mullaney tweeted Tuesday that he’ll play his final season at Alabama. Proud to announce that I just committed to the University of Alabama #RollTide — Richard Mullaney (@Rmullaney08) June 16, 2015 Mullaney graduated from Oregon State in the spring and will be eligible to play immediately for the Crimson Tide. According to Al.com , Mullaney visited Alabama’s campus on Monday. After redshirting his first season at Oregon State, Mullaney combined for 83 catches for 1,160 yards and five scores for the Beavers over the past three seasons. His best season came in 2013 when he caught 52 balls for 788 yards and three touchdowns. Mullaney missed the second half of the 2014 season with an elbow injury, but returned to full strength for the Beavers in the spring. At Alabama, he should provide a veteran presence to a unit that lost its top three receivers from last year – Amari Cooper, DeAndrew White and Chris Jones – to the NFL or graduation. Additionally, sophomore Cam Sims, a projected starter, went down with a serious knee injury during spring practice. According to TideSports.com’s Andrew Bone , Mullaney plans to join the Alabama team in July.
