After missing 11 games because of a fractured foot in 2013, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones wasn't ranked among the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014. After leading the NFC in receptions and receiving yards last season, the former Alabama star is nearly at the top of the 2015 rankings, coming in at No. 13.

The NFL Players Association's 21st Rookie Premiere gathered 41 2015 draft picks in Los Angeles on the last weekend in May for seminars and orientation. The Rookie Premiere is hosted by the NFLPA through its marketing and licensing arm, NFL Players Inc., and features programs on financial planning and brand building and connects the league's most marketable rookies with NFLPA business partners.

With the exception of an occasional blip, the conference has been won by just six teams in the past half century.


Interesting stuff at College & Magnolia regarding the "Big Six" of the SEC: Alabama, Auburn, UGA, Florida, LSU, Tennessee. With the exception of a "blip on the radar" like Bryant's Kentucky teams, every SEC title for the past 50 years has been won by just one of those schools, and, for the better part of 20 years only three teams were in the mix: Alabama, UGA, Tennessee.
